# Rajshahi University Chemistry Dept. Awards Scholarships to High-Achieving Students

Rajshahi University's Department of Chemistry held a scholarship award ceremony today, honoring students who demonstrated academic excellence and overcoming socio-economic challenges. The event was attended by prominent academic figures, including Vice-Chancellor of Bogura Science and Technology University Professor Kudrat-E-Jahan, RU Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Abdul Alim, Syndicate Member Professor Hasan Ahmad, and former Dean of the Faculty of Science Professor Shahed Zaman.

Three scholarships were awarded: the 'Rasayan Paribar Shiksha Britti 'Professor Zillur Rahim Scholarship', the 'Dr. Shamsuzzoha Merit Scholarship', and the 'Professor Md. Sayedul Islam Scholarship'. These scholarships were given to students from various years of the department who excelled in their undergraduate and postgraduate examinations.

The program was presided over by the Chairman of the Department of Chemistry, Professor Chowdhury Md. Zakaria. Treasurer of the Chemistry Association, Professor Md. Nazrul Islam, delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the importance of supporting talented students.

This initiative underscores Rajshahi University's commitment to fostering academic excellence and providing opportunities for underprivileged students, contributing to the broader goal of enhancing educational standards in Bangladesh.
