Prime Minister's Information and Broadcasting Advisor Jahed Ur Rahman has dismissed rumors about the cancellation of honors in six subjects, including Bengali, History, and Philosophy. He urged not to give importance to such news until officially announced by the government. Jahed made these remarks while answering a question at a press conference held at the Secretariat on Tuesday regarding government activities.

Jahed said, 'I have seen news about the cancellation of honors in some subjects. Until officially announced by our government, I would say not to give importance to such news.'

The advisor added, 'I do not believe that honors will not be available in these subjects. However, discussions may take place on how many places and in how many universities they will be offered. Because, as we keep saying, we need a skilled workforce. Every year, 21 to 22 lakh people enter the job market in our country. The maximum employment opportunities in Bangladesh, combining government, non-government, institutional and non-institutional sectors, do not exceed seven to eight lakh.'
