# PM Tarique Rahman Engages with Teachers and Students at Parliament Session

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today met teachers and students from different educational institutions across the country who visited the Jatiya Sangsad to observe its proceedings. The premier met the teachers and students during a recess in the parliamentary session this afternoon, said Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Md Suzauddhowla (Sujon Mahmud).

He said the Prime Minister exchanged greetings with the teachers and students, enquired about their studies and urged them to equip themselves with the skills needed to contribute to build the country. State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam and Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman were present on the occasion.

## Educational Visit to Parliament

Suzauddhowla said teachers and students from different educational institutions have been getting the opportunity to observe parliamentary proceedings of the BNP government. As part of the initiative, teachers and students from various institutions, including four foreign students, visited the parliament session today.

They arrived at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at noon and observed the architectural design of the parliament complex, visited the library, took photographs at different locations and watched the parliamentary proceedings before meeting the Prime Minister during the recess for prayers.

## Participants and Delegations

According to the Deputy Press Secretary, a total of 69 teachers and students from different educational institutions in Rupganj upazila visited the parliament through Narayanganj-1 lawmaker Mustafizur Rahman Bhuiyan. Besides, 53 participants, including 43 students and 10 teachers from Notre Dame College, and eight visitors, including four foreign students from the University of Oxford, through Bangladesh Legal Aid, also visited the parliament complex and observed the session.

In addition, an 18-member delegation visited the parliament through lawmaker Fahmida Haq and the Centre for Governance Studies.

This visit provides an invaluable opportunity for students and teachers to gain a deeper understanding of the legislative process and the functioning of the government. It encourages civic engagement and fosters a sense of responsibility among the youth.
