# Bangladesh and China Begin New Chapter in Technical Education Cooperation

Bangladesh and China have embarked on a new chapter in their technical education cooperation, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at transforming education into skills, skills into employment, and employment into economic opportunities. Dr. Mahdi Amin, Prime Minister's Adviser on Education, highlighted the significance of this partnership during the 'China-Bangladesh Education Exchange Conference' held at Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University in China.

The MoU, signed by Secretary of the Technical and Madrasa Education Division Md. Daud Mia on behalf of Bangladesh and Vice President of Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University Professor Zheng Pengwu on behalf of China, marks the establishment of a training center under the 'China-Bangladesh Vocational Education, Training and Research Center'. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance vocational education and skills development in Bangladesh.

Dr. Mahdi Amin emphasized that the MoU is not just a formality but a commitment to turn cooperation into real opportunities for the people of both countries. He stated, 'The MoU is not merely a memorandum written on paper; it is a commitment to turn cooperation into real opportunities for the people of our two countries.' He added that the true value of an MoU lies in its transformation from commitment into implementation and from implementation into tangible results.

A high-level delegation, led by Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan and Dr. Mahdi Amin, is currently in China on a three-day official visit at the invitation of the Chinese government.
