It seeks to narrow the rural-urban education gap exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, shift away from rote learning, and enhance teachers' instructional capacity. The project will be executed under JICA's 'Grassroots Technical Co-operation' framework, with joint management by the Japanese non-profit 'e-Education' and the Bureau of Research, Testing and Consultation (BRTC) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Local organization 'Backbone Limited' is providing field-level assistance. The initiative has been pre-piloted in two schools in Chandpur, with plans to expand nationwide based on its success.
