# Post-Eid Gold Prices in Bangladesh Drop by Tk 19,771 Per Bhori

Gold prices in Bangladesh have decreased by Tk 19,771 per bhori after Eid, following reductions in the global market. The Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUUS) announced the new prices, effective from Wednesday morning. The price of 22-carat gold is now Tk 2,18,350 per bhori, 21-carat gold is Tk 2,08,436, 18-carat gold is Tk 1,78,692, and traditional method gold is Tk 1,45,508. Silver prices have also been reduced by Tk 58 per bhori.

The global gold price has dropped significantly, with a Tk 587 decrease per ounce in the last 30 days. The current global gold price stands at USD 1,948 per ounce, down from over USD 2,000 at the beginning of the year.
