In a significant move towards financial oversight, the first meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Finance of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad convened today at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. The meeting was chaired by committee chairman Mushfiqur Rahman, MP. The session saw a detailed presentation by the Bangladesh Bank on the nation's central bank and its monetary policy, followed by extensive discussions among committee members.

Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, MP, was in attendance, alongside Chief Whip Md. Nurul Islam, MP, and State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam, MP.
