BD Thai Food and Beverage Limited has resumed production at its factory after being robbed three times in succession. The company has also signed contracts to produce products for two major brands to maximize factory capacity and increase revenue.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) announced this information on its website today. BD Thai Food authorities reported that the factory was robbed three times in 2024, with the last incident occurring on February 10 this year. The robbers stole valuable equipment, rendering the factory inoperable.

Subsequently, BD Thai Food invested heavily to install new substations, generators, and power cables. After extensive repairs, the factory's power system was restored, and production has now returned to normal.

To utilize the factory's full production capacity and increase revenue, BD Thai Food has signed separate contracts with Sajeeb Group and Evergreen Beverages Limited for the production of carbonated soft drinks. Under the contracts, BD Thai Food will produce Sajeeb Group's popular soft drink brand 'Wings' and Evergreen Beverages' 'Sunkrest'. In return, the two companies will pay BD Thai Food a manufacturing charge at a predetermined rate.

These new contracts will utilize 70% of the factory's soft drink production line capacity for the two brands, while the remaining 30% will be used for BD Thai Food's own brand 'Nectar'. The company's board of directors hopes that this will enable the factory to operate at full capacity. The revenue from these contracts is expected to cover the factory's gas and electricity bills, employee salaries, and other financial expenses, thereby increasing the company's future profits and protecting the interests of general investors.
