Under a proposal from the Ministry of Commerce, the CCGP approved the procurement of 25,000 tonnes of sugar through the international Open Tendering Method (OTM). Indonesian company PT Trinity Cahya Energy was recommended as the supplier for this large purchase.

## Edible Oil Procurement

Additionally, the committee approved the procurement of 20,000 tonnes of refined soybean oil through the international OTM. Again, PT Trinity Cahya Energy of Indonesia was recommended as the supplier for this essential edible oil.

## Lentils Procurement

The CCGP also approved the procurement of 10,000 tonnes of lentils through a local OTM. Nabil Naba Foods Ltd., based in Rajshahi, was recommended as the supplier for these lentils.

## Broader Procurement Considerations

During the 37th meeting of the CCGP for 2026, chaired by Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud, procurement proposals from several other ministries were also considered, including those from the Roads Transport and Highways Division, Industries Ministry, Agriculture Ministry, Food Ministry, Energy and Mineral Resources Division, and Social Welfare Ministry.
