Akiij Resources Group is launching a diagnostic center today as part of its new investment in the healthcare sector. The group has formed Akiij Mediplex Limited for this purpose and plans to open the first center in Mirpur 10, Dhaka. They also intend to establish more centers in divisional cities and open their first hospital next year.

Additionally, Akiij Resources is investing in the medical equipment sector through Akiij Mediquip Limited. Initially, they will import equipment but plan to set up local manufacturing within two years. The group aims to bring medical equipment to the market within two to three months.

Akiij Mediplex's diagnostic center will offer specialist doctor chambers, modern pathology and diagnostic facilities, digital reporting, online appointments, home sample collection services, and international standard laboratory facilities. Akiij Resources Group's Chief Business Development Officer, Mohammad Taufiq Hasan, stated that the group believes in ensuring quality healthcare alongside economic progress in Bangladesh.
