Eric Geelan, Political and Economic Counsellor at the US Embassy in Dhaka, recently met with Bangladesh's Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood to explore ways to deepen energy sector cooperation. Accompanied by Joseph Boski, the Economic Officer of the US Embassy, Geelan and Mahmood engaged in constructive discussions on potential areas of collaboration, including LNG and LPG. They also deliberated on formalizing cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with a focus on identifying priority areas for mutual benefit.

The meeting aimed to address existing challenges and devise practical measures to enhance Bangladesh's energy security.
