Two people, including an easy-bike driver, were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision in Khulna this afternoon. The accident occurred at around 3.15 pm in front of the Palli Bidyut Office under Harintana Police Station.

## Incident Details

The accident involved a pickup van carrying soybean oil and an easy-bike coming from the opposite direction. The collision took place when the pickup van, bearing registration number Dhaka Metro-Na 10-0912, was travelling towards Satkhira.

## Victims Identified

The deceased were identified as easy-bike driver Sheikh Didarul Haque, 30, son of Sheikh Obaidul Haque of Sheikhpara in Sanatankathi village under Haridhali Union of Paikgacha upazila, and passenger Tapas Hor alias Sunu Hor, 60, son of Binodhor Hor of Baraipara area in the same upazila.

## Injured Taken to Hospital

Three other injured passengers were rescued by locals and taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment.

## Police Action

Officer-in-Charge of Harintana Police Station Md. Helal Uddin said police seized the pickup van and the damaged easy-bike after the accident. The driver and helper of the pickup van fled the scene.
