State Minister of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, MP, visited the Regional Artificial Insemination Research Laboratory (AIRL) and the Regional Poultry Farm at Rajabari Haat in Godagari upazila in Rajshahi today. He was accompanied by Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton. During the visit, Deputy Director Dr. Md. Golam Mostafa showed the State Minister around the laboratory and its various activities.

## Laboratory Tour and Discussions

Dr. Md. Boyzar Rahman, Director (Administration) of the Department of Livestock Services; Dr. Ananda Kumar Adhikari, Director of the Divisional Livestock Department, Rajshahi; Scientific Officer Minar Mahmud and Scientific Officer Eadul Islam of the Regional Artificial Insemination were present, among others. The visit aimed to inspect the ongoing research and development activities at the laboratory, which plays a crucial role in advancing livestock breeding techniques in the region.

## Visit to Shaheed Zia Shishu Park

State Minister Tuku also visited Shaheed Zia Shishu Park, operated by Rajshahi City Corporation. During the visit, the State Minister assured full cooperation for the overall development of the park and suggested establishing a Bird Corner and a Fish Aquarium to make it more attractive for visitors.

## Promoting Environmental Conservation

As part of efforts to promote environmental conservation and afforestation, State Minister Sultan Salahuddin Tuku planted a Neem sapling on the premises of Paba Upazila Parishad in Rajshahi. At the event, emphasis was placed on planting more trees to maintain ecological balance, increase greenery, and combat the adverse effects of climate change.
