Opposition leader and Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Shafiqur Rahman has criticized the decision to cancel the license of Ad-Din Hospital in Moghbazar following the death of six newborns. In a Facebook post, Rahman stated that the decision was incorrect and called for a reevaluation. He emphasized that the hospital, known as the 'poor man's hospital,' provided quality services and had earned public trust. Rahman also highlighted the impact on medical students and nursing courses offered at the hospital.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) canceled the hospital's license after issuing a letter to the hospital's executive director and proprietor, Sheikh Mahiuddin. Rahman argued that instead of canceling the license, any negligence or wrongdoing should be addressed through legal means. He stressed that the decision to close the hospital would ultimately harm the public.
