In Feni Municipality, 360 families affected by natural disasters received free rice distribution today. The event was organized by Feni Municipality and held at the municipal premises. Member of Parliament for Feni-2 Professor Zainal Abedin VP attended as the chief guest and distributed rice to the beneficiaries.

## Event Overview

The distribution program aimed to provide immediate relief to poor and vulnerable families impacted by various natural disasters. Municipal Administrator and Deputy Director of the Local Government Division Md. Dildarul Alam chaired the event. Other notable attendees included Municipal Executive Officer Md. Samsul Islam, Executive Engineer Md. Zakir Uddin, and several local political and community leaders.

## Government Commitment

Addressing the gathering, Professor Zainal Abedin emphasized the government's commitment to supporting the poor by creating employment opportunities, ensuring food security, and improving infrastructure. Municipal Administrator Md. Dildarul Alam announced that a total of 36 metric tons of rice would be distributed among 3,600 beneficiaries across the municipality's 18 wards, with each recipient receiving 10 kilograms of rice. Of these, 360 beneficiaries received their allocations today.
