# Rajshahi Range Police Launches Tree Plantation Drive to Combat Climate Change

Rajshahi Range Police, under the leadership of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md. Ashik Sayeed, organized a tree plantation programme aimed at increasing greenery and combating climate change. The event took place at the official residence and office of the Range DIG. DIG Md. Ashik Sayeed and his wife, Shamim Ara Haque, Advisor of the Police Women Welfare Association (PUNAK), Rajshahi Range, jointly planted four fruit-bearing and forest saplings.

DIG Sayeed emphasized the importance of extensive tree plantation for maintaining environmental balance, preserving biodiversity, and creating a green and livable Bangladesh for future generations. He called on everyone to participate actively in tree plantation and care from their respective positions.

The programme was attended by Additional DIG (Crime Management), Rajshahi Range, Superintendent of Police of Rajshahi District, Superintendent of Police (Crime Management), Rang DIG's Office, and other senior officers and employees. The initiative reflects a broader effort to preserve the environment and increase forest land across the country.
