# Bangladesh Braces for Rain in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Other Divisions

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted rain in different parts of the country during the next 24 hours starting from 9am. According to a Met Office bulletin, light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.

Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country. The highest temperature recorded on Friday was 35.5 degrees Celsius at Nikli in Kishoreganj, while today's lowest temperature was recorded at 23.9 degrees Celsius at Kumarkhali in Kushtia.

In the last 24 hours till 6am today, the highest rainfall of 59 millimetres was recorded at Cox's Bazar. The sun will set at 6:42pm today and rise at 5:28am tomorrow in Dhaka.
