## Exhibition Details

The exhibition does not have any formal inauguration. It features photographs of individuals who were sentenced to death but later proven innocent after a long legal battle. The exhibition also includes photographs of the condemned cells, the central jail in Dhaka's Nazira Bazar, and the gallows. The exhibition is curated by photographer Hadi Uddin.

## Background and Purpose

Moshfiqur Rahman Johan stated that the exhibition aims to highlight the delays in the country's judicial system, false cases, and police torture, and to raise public awareness about these issues. According to a survey by the non-governmental organization 'Odhikar', there are currently over 2,600 people in the country's jails who have been sentenced to death. The judicial process is so slow that 560 of them have been in condemned cells for more than 15 years. From 2009 to 2025, the death sentences of 47 people were carried out.
