The tree fair at Khulna Circuit House Maidan, held annually for about a decade, is currently attracting large crowds. The month-long event, inaugurated on July 11 by State Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Sheikh Faridul Islam, aims to promote tree planting and environmental awareness among the younger generation. The fair features a diverse collection of plants, including fruit, flower, and medicinal varieties, and has already recorded significant sales of saplings.

## Diverse Plant Collection on Display

Visitors to the fair can explore a wide variety of fruit trees, flowering plants, and medicinal herbs. Popular fruit saplings include mango, strawberry guava, and guava, while exotic varieties such as avocado, persimmon, rambutan, longan, and durian are also available. The fair offers both common and rare varieties of fruit and ornamental saplings, catering to gardening enthusiasts.

## Promoting Environmental Awareness

The fair's theme this year is "Brikkho Ropone Sajay Desh, Sobar Age Bangladesh," emphasizing the importance of tree planting for building a greener and more sustainable Bangladesh. SM Badrul Alam Royal, president of the Khulna Nursery Owners Association, encourages everyone to visit the fair and develop a love for plants. The event is open daily from 9am to 9pm, with free entry, and has seen strong sales despite intermittent rain.
