Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Barrister Kayser Kamal has emphasized the government's commitment to improving the living standards of the Hajong community and preserving their language. During a development assistance distribution event in Kalmakanda Upazila, he announced plans to publish books in the Hajong language and launch temple-based education programs to ensure the language's continuity. The event, part of the 'Development Assistance for Special Areas' programme, aimed to enhance livelihoods, expand education, and create self-employment opportunities for ethnic minorities.

## Commitment to Language Preservation

Kayser Kamal stressed the importance of preserving the Hajong language, stating that books and educational programs would be introduced to keep the language alive for future generations. He highlighted the need for community-based initiatives to maintain cultural heritage.

## Enhancing Livelihoods and Education

The event distributed bicycles to 42 meritorious students, sewing machines to 28 trained women, and cash stipends to 283 students from various educational levels. Additionally, nine ethnic minority families received new homesteads, demonstrating the government's multifaceted approach to community development.

## Promoting Equality and Inclusion

Kayser Kamal called for an end to labeling ethnic minorities as 'backward,' advocating for equal rights and opportunities for all citizens. He encouraged a united approach to development, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in national progress.
