## Tourism Development and Infrastructure

During a visit to Jaflong, Minister Choudhury highlighted the challenges faced by tourists, including the lack of a railway connection between Sylhet and Jaflong, inadequate road infrastructure, and insufficient quality accommodation. The proposed 47-kilometre railway line is expected to alleviate these issues, providing better connectivity and enhancing the overall tourist experience.

## Feasibility Study and Future Steps

## High-Level Delegation and Discussions

Minister Choudhury was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Railways Secretary Md Fahimul Islam, Labour and Employment Secretary Md. Abdur Rahman Tarafder, Road Transport and Highways Secretary Dr. Mohammed Ziaul Haque, and Bangladesh Railway Director General Md. Afzal Hossain.
