# Flood and Landslide Conditions Improve in Multiple Bangladesh Districts

The overall flood and landslide situation has improved across several southeastern and northeastern districts in Bangladesh, although government agencies continue relief operations and public awareness campaigns in affected areas. Chattogram remains the worst-hit district, with floodwaters inundating the metropolitan area and all 15 upazilas.

In Habiganj, floodwaters have receded and no families remain stranded. The district reported no casualties or landslides, while only 6 mm of rainfall was recorded over the past 24 hours. Public awareness activities continue.

Khagrachhari also reported an improving situation. Although light intermittent rain continued, no new landslides or hill collapses were recorded and floodwaters have receded from most areas. Rivers are flowing below danger level, though normal life has yet to fully resume. Awareness campaigns on flood, landslide and post-flood safety remain ongoing.

In Cox's Bazar, the flood situation has improved significantly. The district recorded 20 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours. Water levels in both the Bakkhali River at Ramu and the Matamuhuri River at Chiringa remained well below danger level. No landslides or hill collapses were reported and weather conditions have become favorable.

Moulvibazar also reported steady improvement. Flash floods damaged crops on 57 hectares of farmland, around 405 fish ponds and about 54 LGED-built rural roads. Authorities continue public awareness campaigns on post-flood safety.

Rangamati has returned to normal, with officials continuing outreach to encourage residents in landslide-prone areas to relocate to safer places during heavy rainfall.

Bandarban reported normal conditions, with 10 mm of rainfall recorded in the past 24 hours. The Sangu and Matamuhuri rivers are flowing below danger level, floodwaters have receded and displaced residents are returning home from shelters.

In Lama, intermittent light to moderate rain persisted under active monsoon conditions, but no flooding, landslides or hill collapses were reported. The Matamuhuri River remained at a normal level.

Ramgarh also remained stable despite light rain in some areas. The Feni River is flowing below danger level, with no flood risk or new reports of hill collapses. Local authorities continue awareness campaigns and post-flood safety messaging in vulnerable communities.
