At a national policy dialogue held in Dhaka, climate experts and policymakers emphasized the need for a more equitable, transparent and locally responsive climate finance system. The dialogue, organized by HEKS/EPER Bangladesh and the Centre for Climate Justice Bangladesh, aimed to enable Bangladesh's most climate-vulnerable communities to lead adaptation and resilience initiatives.

## Call for Comprehensive Climate Finance Implementation Plan

Participants at the event stressed the need for a comprehensive Climate Finance Implementation Plan based on a holistic, multi-stakeholder approach. The dialogue highlighted the importance of strengthening green finance mechanisms, including greater access to the Green Climate Fund and other international climate financing sources.

## Government and International Support

Dr. Saimum Parvez, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Environment, Forest and Climate Change Affairs, spoke as the chief guest, underscoring the government's commitment to formulating a comprehensive environmental strategy through collaboration among government institutions, development partners and civil society. Mr. Diepak Elmer, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, reaffirmed Switzerland's continued support for locally led climate action.
