# 11-Year-Old Madrasa Student Dies in Cox’s Bazar Road Accident

An 11-year-old female madrasa student was killed in a road accident in Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar district this morning. The deceased, Tanha Moni, was a fifth-grade student of Magbazar Mohila Madrasa in Chakaria municipality and the daughter of Mawlana Jafar Alam of South Kahariaghona area. The accident occurred at Kahariaghona Station of the municipality when the auto rickshaw Tanha was travelling in overturned while trying to give way to a sand-laden truck coming from the opposite direction. Tanha fell on the right side of the rickshaw and came under the wheels of the truck, resulting in her death on the spot.

Chakaria Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Arifur Rahman confirmed the incident and stated that legal action is underway in connection with the accident. According to local residents, Tanha Moni and several other children were travelling by the auto rickshaw when the tragic event occurred. The sudden maneuver to avoid the oncoming truck caused the rickshaw to overturn.
