Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury urged lawyers to present their cases before the courts properly, stating it is their legal, moral, and ethical obligation. He emphasized that once a case is taken up, lawyers must remain committed to it. "A litigant has engaged you professionally to represent them, so you are obliged to discharge your duty," he said. The Chief Justice made these remarks at a remembrance meeting and prayer ceremony in memory of veteran politician and former Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar, organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association. The event, held at the Shaheed Shafiur Rahman Auditorium, was attended by prominent legal and political figures, including Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman and Deputy Speaker Barrister Md Kaisar Kamal.

Chief Justice Chowdhury highlighted that judges will deliver the verdict, but the responsibility of lawyers is to present their client's case properly before the court. "Whether you win or lose is a different matter," he added. The ceremony also featured speeches from Appellate Division Justice S M Emdadul Hoque, former SC Bar Association President Advocate Zainul Abedin, BNP's law affairs secretary Barrister Badruddoza Badal, and Nilufar Jamir, daughter of Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar.

Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman praised Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar's multifaceted career, noting his achievements as a Barrister, six-time Member of Parliament, Minister of Education, Speaker of Parliament, and Acting President of Bangladesh. "His life and ideals are worthy of emulation," he said. Deputy Speaker Barrister Md Kaisar Kamal lauded Sircar's commitment to democracy, constitutional continuity, and the rule of law, urging the legal community to uphold the same respect for the courts.

The program concluded with a prayer and special munajat seeking eternal peace and divine forgiveness for Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar. The event underscored the importance of proper legal representation and the legacy of Barrister Sircar in the legal and political spheres.
