The capital is experiencing intense heat with minimal chances of rain, according to the weather office. Yesterday, the city received 31 mm of rain, temporarily reducing the heat. However, today, the temperature has risen sharply. At 8 AM, the temperature was 30°C, rising to 31.5°C by 9 AM.

Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Islam explained that the intense heat is due to high humidity. He noted that rain during this period does not provide long-lasting relief. The highest temperature recorded yesterday was 35.2°C in Patuakhali, with 106 mm of rain in Khepupara.

The monsoon has arrived but will take four to five days to spread across the country. Western winds, known as western low-pressure systems, are currently clashing with the monsoon, causing localized cloud formation and brief rain. The weather office predicts a low chance of rain in the capital today, with any potential rain more likely in the evening.
