The border force is monitoring the flood situation from 90 locations and providing emergency rescue, relief, medical assistance and support to restore damaged transport links and protect vulnerable infrastructure.

## Rescue Efforts

According to the BGB, more than 600 people from 122 families, including 116 tourists, have been rescued from flood-hit areas of Bandarban and moved to safer locations. The agency said it had also distributed food supplies and provided emergency medical treatment to 48 people.

The BGB added that its personnel had helped clear fallen trees and debris from the Bandarban–Rumaangchhari road to restore communication and had taken emergency measures to protect a steel bridge in Naikhongchhari that had been threatened by soil erosion.
