Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui visited flood-affected areas in Sunamganj and distributed relief materials among more than 500 distressed people. The BGB chief visited Lalpur Cluster Village in Gourarang Union under Sunamganj Sadar Upazila. During the visit, he distributed food items and other relief materials to over 500 people affected by the recent floods triggered by heavy rainfall and hill torrents. The BGB also arranged free medical treatment and distributed necessary medicines among flood victims who had limited access to healthcare services. Speaking on the occasion, the BGB chief said the force would continue its relief, rescue, medical service and other humanitarian support activities in the future as part of its commitment to public welfare.
