A mobile court fined Lady Zone Beauty Parlour in Narsingdi Tk 10,000 for various irregularities. The parlour, located at Upazila Mor in Narsingdi Sadar, was found operating without a renewed trade licence during a routine inspection. The inspection also found several products without expiry dates and expired products displayed for sale. A case was filed against the establishment under the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009, and the fine was realized on the spot. Sub-Inspector Md Mannan of Narsingdi Sadar Police Station conducted the prosecution. The authorities informed those concerned about the applicable laws and regulations and warned them against repeating such irregularities. Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Sadia Chowdhury led the mobile court.

## Importance of Regulatory Compliance

Regulatory compliance is crucial for businesses, particularly those dealing directly with consumers. Operating without a proper trade licence can lead to legal repercussions and erode consumer trust. The Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009, aims to ensure that businesses adhere to specific standards to protect consumer interests.

## Ensuring Consumer Safety

The discovery of expired products underscores the necessity for stringent checks and balances within the beauty industry. Ensuring that products are safe and within their expiry dates is vital for consumer safety and satisfaction. Authorities play a critical role in enforcing these regulations to maintain market integrity.
