Residents across Bangladesh should prepare for rain, as the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds over the next 24 hours. The rain is expected to start from 9:00 am today. According to the Met Office bulletin, significant rainfall is anticipated in several northern divisions.

The bulletin specifically predicts light to moderate rain or thundershowers in many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. During the last 24 hours, Kutubdia recorded the highest rainfall of 81 millimeters.
